Foursquare Added to ‘Leading in Local’ Boston, March 18-20
BIA/Kelsey’s Leading in Local: The National Impact event March 18-20 in Boston has gotten closer to a “final” lineup, with several great new adds to an already powerful, lineup consisting of 45, hand-picked speakers.
One of our big new “gets” is a Day 1 Keynote from Foursquare CRO Steven Rosenblatt. Foursquare has become one of the most exciting bets in local commerce as it moves to become a “local search” resource for its 30 million global users, and one million merchant members.
In other Leading in Local news, we’ve added Mobile Marketing Association Global CEO Greg Stuart to our National/Local Superforum. Stuart was instrumental in the success of the Interactive Advertising Bureau as its longtime CEO, and was previously a top exec with Cars.com and DM pioneer Wunderman Cato Johnson.
He joins Cars.com VP Mike Page; Living Social SVP Mitch Spolan; and Yodle CEO Court Cunningham on this all star session that will also feature a keynote from Hill Holliday EVP Cindy Stockwell; a research presentation from The CMO Council; and a special retail session on national/local with Retailigence CEO Jeremy Geiger and Where2GetIt CEO Manish Patel.
Another great add at Leading in Local: local pioneer Lem Lloyd, who has always been at the cusp of innovation in his various leadership positions over the years at Yahoo, Oodle, RealCities and Knight Ridder Digital. Lloyd joins a super “Local Media Leaders” session that also includes Hearst EVP Lincoln Millstein; Gatehouse President Peter Newton; Boston Globe VP Jane Bowman; and NPR Digital VP Robert Kempf. That’s one cooking panel.
Special note: Come a little early to take in a “Before the Bell” session on Media Valuation that should prove especially valuable for anyone seeking tips on how much their companies are worth – or who is thinking about how much a potential acquisition is worth. Our valuation expert Jeanne Dattilo will be joined by Atlas Venture Partner Ryan Moore and Gocella CEO Kerry Hatch.
