The Berry Co. Names John S. Fischer as Interim President and CEO

Yellow Pages publisher The Berry Co., announced today that John S. Fischer, currently the company’s general counsel and secretary, will be appointed as the company’s interim president and CEO. The news comes on the heels of the company’s energence from Chapter 11. Fischer will replace current interim President and CEO Scott Brubaker.

Additional staff changes include the appointment of Richard G. Halle as the company’s new chief financial officer and Mark J. Lane to the position of interim senior vice president of client services.

Fisher replaces interim CEO Scott Brubaker, a managing director at Alvarez and Marsal, the management consulting firm that was seeing Berry through the bankruptcy. Brubaker was named interim CEO back in January.

Berry filed for bankruptcy back in November 2010 in what was described as a necessary measure to enable the company to recapitalize its debt stucture.
