A Special Goodbye to John and Pam Kelsey
By Tom Buono, CEO, BIA/Kelsey
John Kelsey, having sold The Kelsey Group a year ago to BIA, has stepped down from the company after helping us all with the transition.
John has been a remarkable force of innovation in the Yellow Pages industry. He anticipated the rise of electronic media and its impact on the Yellow Pages and small-business marketing around the world. He worked tirelessly to help incorporate Yellow Pages into the world of contemporary online and mobile marketing. And he created a community that brought traditional media and new media together.
John and Pam Kelsey have been very good friends and mentors to many of us at BIA/Kelsey, and they will be missed. But they are as pleased as we are about all the exciting new things we are doing in the new era of BIA/Kelsey with mobile, marketplaces, local search, traditional media and, yes, Yellow Pages.
John and Pam – thank you!
Truly an “end of an era” moment, best wishes to Pam and John! You’ll be long remembered for providing a quality and lasting foundation for the most important conversations in the local media industry.

The first time I ever walked into a Kelsey Conference, John and Pam welcomed me as if I was part of their family.
Thanks for caring and sharing.
God’s blessings upon you both as you explore new beginnings.
Steve
Dreams do come true. I’m wishing John, Pam and the whole clan much happiness. Things have played out pretty much like we called it. 😉

Perhaps one of times that “change” just doesn’t seem to feel like a good thing…. They will both be badly missed.
I wish you both well in the next “chapter” of life. Thanks for everything
John and Pam,
Best wishes and congratulations to you both. Thanks for your professionalism and insights.
Godspeed.

What can one say? Our best wishes to John and Pam as they transition to the next opportunities of life. We will sorely miss them and the industry is poorer without them. I have so many fond memories and I will hold them dear. Thank you both for the many years of insights, tough questions, friendship and graciousness!
