In my opinion, Google are inteligently using the facilities available to a mobile. From the work we've done, consumers who are looking for problems to be solved are not prepared to put effort into iteracting with a screen and keyboard via their mobile. They want to talk to someone (or perhaps something) quickly. But they really appreciate quality returns (information, maps)to their mobile screen, especially if this does not involve key clicks. Moving adverts from the input (voice message) to more relevant adds on the response, could prove a real winner for Google, since these returns can be targeted and presented as adding information to the consumer. Thus making the advert much more productive for the advertiser.
