Newspapers and Talking Cars
Every once in a while, I’ll allow myself to post something on the lighter side. Just a warning that this is one of those posts only tangentially related to local search, but having a semantic coincidence that I couldn’t resist.
Last year Knight Ridder was on the block, and sold to McClatchy in March 2006. Now, just over a year later, Knight Rider is for sale.
Interestingly, the car’s owner lives in Livermore, California, where it could feasibly be listed in the Contra Costa Times formerly a Knight Ridder paper (before it was bought by McClatchy and in turn sold to MediaNews Group). Look for the listing for the talking Trans Am.
There’s a David Hasselhoff joke in here somewhere.
Does anyone know if the "wrist communicator" – aka Casio watch – is included with the sale of the car?
Kitt, I need ya buddy.
as someone who once worked at the CoCo Times and tried unsuccessfully to sell my car through its classifieds, I’d strongly urge Knight Rider’s owner to save his/her dough, avoid sales calls from the Auto Traders which are the only ones you’ll get, and go with craigslist. 😉
