Large Group of Bidders Seen for NZ Yellow Pages
Here is a new article from Stuff in New Zealand reporting that 10 bidders are expected to make a run at Yellow Pages Group New Zealand, among them Sensis (via parent company Telstra) and a rash of media and private equity groups.
Given the number of potential bidders, it’s quite possible the winning bid will be at the high end of the expected range. One key question is whether Telstra will want this badly enough to beat out a large group of free-spending competitors. The article also raises the question of whether Telecom NZ would be willing to sell such an important asset to its rival Telstra.
