Finding Post-Holiday Local Deals

Yahoo! Tech writes about some of the ways you can sniff out local post holiday deals on electronics. There will surely be a torrent of sales in the coming week as retailers try to move excess holiday inventory  especially in popular categories such as flat screen TVs.

Many of the local shopping engines and retailer product info sites that have developed over the past year  such as NearbyNow, Yokel and ShopLocal  will get a good test (and, they hope, increased exposure) during this potential uptick in local shopping search.

The article also points out a site called Dealnews, which I’m not very familiar with, but I’ll check it out. I’ll also be doing some post-holiday electronics shopping myself and will be sure to report back on the experience  especially if I end up with an “impulse buy” 52-inch plasma TV.
