		<description><![CDATA[The Internet came to maturity under the Clinton administration and the leadership of Ira Magaziner.  Their philosophy was to to avoid regulation or any government interference in its development. It was a hard fight at times as do gooders wanted to engineer and direct its growth, but they succeeded for the most part in letting the Net come into its own unfettered. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The government can find any number of reasons/excuses to try and get information from the companies and people who use the Internet, but privacy has to be protected for freedom to be maintained. &lt;br /&gt;]]></description>
